Capoeira is a great way to stay in shape, get in shape, or just have a good time working out. To start learning this exciting martial art from Brazil, you need to come to your first class. There is never a charge for the first class: it is absolutely free. In Decatur, we strive to provide the highest of quality capoeira instruction and classes at affordable rates to the surrounding community.

Are you interested? Try your first class for free! If you are interested in trying class out, be sure to prepare for your first capoeira class. The most important thing, however, is to come with an open mind and ready to have fun!

Capoeira Decatur Programs

There are many ways for you to get into capoeira. Check out the available capoeira class programs that we offer below. Regardless of which program interests you, you can always try a class for free. You just need to register in advance.

If you've ever wanted to learn capoeira, this is the place to start!

In this course, you'll become proficient in all of the basic movements, preparing you for more advanced classes; you'll develop your strength, flexibility, and endurance while having a great time; and you'll become part of the growing community of capoeiristas throughout the US and world.

An introduction to the world of capoeira. Go from little or no experience, to knowing the basic movements, basic songs, and history of capoeira. Tuition includes the uniform and corda (the belt) which is awarded on the last day of class to signify your proficiency in the Capoeira basics.

Looking for an exciting activity for your child? This program is specifically designed for children ages 5 to 12.

Leãozinhos uses capoeira instruction as a vessel to help your child develop the following traits: Creativity, physical fitness, self-esteem, social growth & awareness, appreciation of music & culture, and self-respect.

Leãozinhos, or little lions, is a program for kids ages five to 12. Based on an award-winning program, these classes combine the same values of any martial art—fitness, self-confidence, discipline, and respect—with benefits specific to Capoeira—music, language, culture dance, and gymnastics. All this in a fun, energetic, and engaging class specially designed for your child.

Learn capoeira over an extended period: Sign-up for a membership at Several Dancers Core. These classes are available to the general public, and class memberships renew on a monthly basis.

Improve your capoeira skills and develop your basics. Signing up for intermediate classes in Decatur is what it takes to get your first and subsequent cordas and to continue your growth as a capoeirista.

Intermediate capoeira classes in Decatur are held at Several Dancers Core on the Square. In these classes, students learn movements from the basics of capoeira to intermediate-level sequences, reinforcing the curriculum in the intro to capoeira program.

This capoeira program is generally only available to members of the Tech community: Students, staff, and faculty. This program is ideal for those who want to start learning capoeira, or those who have taken classes before.

Sign up for this program every semester to either start capoeira or to continue your capoeira experience. Our classes focus on the fundamental aspects of capoeira: The game, strategy, and fitness.

At Georgia Tech's CRC, Capoeira Decatur teaches classes on an ongoing basis, every summer, fall, and spring term.

Agnes Scott capoeira classes are open to members of the Agnes Scott College community.

Not only is capoeira a great way to get in shape, it's also a lot of fun. It is simultaneously a workout, a cultural experience, and an opportunity to meet new people, conveniently on campus!

Capoeira classes officially began at Agnes Scott Starting on Mondays from 8:00 PM till 9:00 PM in the Hub. The classes are part of the Scottie Fit Club. It's a 12-week program, and you have to buy a pass. The passes are available every Friday during Lunch in Evans, and you can buy passes at Woodruff.

This capoeira program is for you if you've ever wanted to learn capoeira and are looking for a great structured and challenging workout that is also a lot of un.

In this capoeira program, learn the basics of capoeira at a location conveniently located in Vinings near Buckhead.

Capoeira classes in Vinings are held at Black Knights Martial Arts. These classes are oriented towards beginners. Look forward to a great workout in these classes.

This capoeira program is generally only available to members of the Emory community: Students, staff, and faculty. Members of the general public for whom this format fits, however, can purchase one of five (5) capoeira class passes available to the general public.

Sign up for this program every semester to either start capoeira or to continue your capoeira learning.

At Emory University's WoodPEC, Capoeira Decatur teaches classes on an ongoing basis, every fall and spring semester.
