Maculelê Decatur & Emory Batizado Fall 2009
Capoeira Maculelê Decatur and Capoeira Maculelê Emory proudly invite everyone to participate in the 7th Semiannual Capoeira Encounter and Batizado. The event will be held at Emory University and in Decatur, Georgia.
Capoeiristas from all over the southeast will be joining Capoeira Maculelê for this fantastic event. In addition to offering several workshops, there will be ample opportunity for student rodas, so that everyone gets to play capoeira!

Our goal for this event is two-fold:
- We are going to ensure that students getting cordas are well-prepared for the batizado.
- All students, even no-cordas, will have ample opportunities to play and to play with new people.

Over the course of three days, we will play plenty of capoeira, experience several workshops, and play more capoeira. New students will receive their first graduation, while some older students will advance. The schedule that follows is subject to change, but will be kept up-to-date.
