It is with enormous gratitude that all of us at World Capoeira Maculele Arts Foundation share our sincere thanks for what you’ve helped make possible in 2021.
With your support and participation we:
- Helped financially 20 instructors within Maculele Group and other groups who have important social projects that needed support.
- Offered free classes to refugees social projects in Atlanta, GA
- safely held 1,096 free youth classes around the world, plus free summer camp serving 85 youth;
- provided breakfast, hand sanitizers and masks to our project that helps feed the homeless in Atlanta and Decatur every Monday morning
- presented 30+ performances reaching 1,200 youth and adults;
- safely brought our community together around the world for the Batizado Graduation Ceremony in Brazil (Londrina, Cornelio Procopio), Colombia (Medellin, Bogota, Cali, Bulga, Tulua/Valle).
- safely brought our Atlanta community together for free events: samba and capoeira workshops open to the community, kids halloween party and safety seminar, Bully proof community workshops, and more.
We have the privilege of seeing firsthand what people have the capacity to overcome, and what can be accomplished together when there’s foundation built upon respect, integrity, and commitment.
We are honoured and humbled to be a part of the World Capoeira Maculele Arts Foundation community – which wouldn’t be what it is without you. You have helped, and continue to help us manage the uncertainty of the pandemic, giving us the ability to find new and evolving opportunities for increased impact.
